The Australian stamp and coin industry is growing distinctively year by year and with interest increasing across Brisbane and the greater Queensland area. CCQ found it integral that a large scale show is brought to Brisbane. The Brisbane Stamp and Coin show aims to provide an opportunity for local, interstate and international dealers, local clubs to come together, share and experience what the wonderful world of stamp and coin collecting has to offer.
Collectors Club of Queensland
The Collectors Club of Queensland (CCQ) is a long established club which holds friendly get-togethers twice a month for the benefit and fellowship of like-minded collectors. Our South Brisbane based club has been expanding over the past few years and welcomes anyone who has a passion for stamp and coin collecting and other associated collectable items including medals, militaria and postcards.
Our very active membership base saw that we as a collecting community could do more to reach out and encourage the general public to find value and fun in collecting, and in turn help our large Queensland stamp and coin community flourish and gain the support it truly deserves. After seeing the success of other state and national shows it's time for us Queenslander's to step up!
We welcome visitors at our monthly meetings which are held on the 2nd Sunday of the month (9.00am until 2.00 pm). They are typically attended by 70+ collectors and more than 7 dealers. At this meeting we hold the ever popular ‘sale by tender’ where 150+ mixed lots are sold. Our 2nd Sunday of the month meetings are held at the new venue The Belmont Services Bowls Club - 20 Narracott Street, Carina, QLD 4152.
Additionally CCQ meet on the 4th Sunday of each Month (10.00am until 12.00 noon) where member collectors come together for fellowship and friendly light-heartened discussion. We also have a mini 'sale by tender'. This meeting is held at the BCC Library, 82 Seville Road, Holland Park, QLD 4121.
CCQ prides itself as a friendly not-for-profit organisation and enjoys affiliation with similar associations across Queensland and Australia.
Membership is just $10 per year.
